The fireman's hat was designed to protect the wearer
against heat, water, and blows to the head. Is it
any wonder that these hats are now all the rage
among the models who live in New York City's
fashionable SoHo and East Village neighborhoods?
Our fireman's hat has the classic, samurai-inspired
design originally introduced by B. Edgar Tuttle,
who served as American Ambassador to Japan in the
1870s, and later established the New York City
Fire Department.
Leather, with brass trim. Weight: 17.5 lbs.
