Cross-selling uses product images and descriptive text to present relevant, targeted offers that encourage shoppers to add items to their cart. Put your own promotional objectives and knowledge of customer buying habits to work -- offer items that complement or enhance what's already in the shopper's cart. (Do you want batteries with that flashlight? Do you want a vase with that bouquet of flowers?) Define as many "rules" as you like for any item in your Store, set start and end dates for cross-sell offers, or create seasonal promotions. You can even provide special cross-sell pricing that rewards customers who decide to buy more. The cross-sell feature is a component of our upcoming Promotions Manager product. Set up a "Monogram" ( three characters) or "Inscription" (more than three characters) option on individual item pages in your Store. It's a custom "upsell" that's easy to implement. Use the "Option" field to collect monogram or inscription information. (You may already use "Option" to create drop-down menus of colors and sizes. Here's another way to use it!) Go to the regular Store Editor and follow the steps described here: To add a personalization charge to either the "Monogram" or "Inscription" option, type a price in the "Personalization-charge" variable. Or set different charges to personalize different items by overriding the "Personalization-charge" variable for a specific item.
