Marilyn Monroe was born on June 1, 1926 in the dark shadow of the Hollywood Hills. After a turbulent childhood and a controversial 'modeling' carreer amongst the 'fauves' of beauty, Marilyn became a shooting star - lighting up the silver screen with her colorful presence and her 'green' young beauty. Milton H. Greene was born in Brooklyn, in 1922. While in high school he began his photographic career as an assistant to Louise Dahle-Wolfe. He was a highly regarded fashion photographer when he met Marilyn Monroe on a shoot for Look magazine in 1953. Enamored with the idea of the famous fashion photographer coming to take pictures of the starlett, Marilyn seemed to have a grand vision of Milton. When the sight of Milton, on that fateful day in 1953, revealed 'Color Photography's Wonder Boy', Marilyn hastily commented "Why you're just a boy?" to which Milton replied with a smile "And you're just a girl."
