5 Keys to Choosing the Best Prints for You!

Having a hard time finding the right print for you?
Well, here's 5 key things you should consider when buying art for your home...

1. Color – What colors do you love?
Color is the essential key to living with your new print for years to come. Like the image itself, the overall color can evoke many different feelings. Consider complimentary colors such as blues and yellows or reds and greens to make a statement. Think about choosing either warm or cool colors such as violets, blues and greens or reds, oranges and yellows to create harmony. Most importantly, when it comes to color let your eyes decide, usually the color they are drawn too is the right color for you!

2. Size – How big or small is the space where your print will hang?
Art should be in scale with the space it hangs in. Choose large prints for large spaces, such as spacious blank walls in your studio or family room, and small pieces for smaller spaces, such as in the bedroom of your cottage. Groupings of prints based on color, subject or theme are a wonderful way to really liven up large walls. Go look at the space, and consider what size print will "fit" without overwhelming or getting lost in that space. You may need a yard stick or measuring tape to help you consider the size that fits best. Consider whether a landscape (horizontal) or a portrait (vertical) layout would compliment your space. When you find the print you want, take a moment to imagine the print hanging there.

If you’ve got large studio type spaces to fill, we recommend choosing vibrant vintage celebrity prints hung salon style! For a more elegant display see our Large Luscious Limited Edition Prints.

For small spaces see our Portfolio and Collector prints or Classic Cars of Cuba.

3. Mood - Happy? Joyous? Serene? Calm? Relaxing? Vibrant?
Identify the mood of your room. Is your dining room formal and elegant? Or is it filled with farm decorations such as old butter churns and milk crates? Creating a mood is decided by you with all the elements you decorate with. Exploring the mood of your living interiors can tell you a lot about yourself and what you like.
