As you begin to plan for the busy quarter ahead, we're excited to help you prepare for the winter sales rush. This month's newsletter describes expanded customer support options, more advanced store-building resources, and a fresh new look for our site, coming soon! Read on for the latest merchant news from Yahoo! Store.

Spotlight
New Customer Service Enhancements

This summer, we continued to roll out new phases of our customer support improvement program. Here's the buzz on our latest enhancements:

  • Support hours have been extended. Effective August 18th, you have 25% more access to customer support! Representatives are now available by email and phone from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday -- that's 60 hours per week, up from 45!
  • Toll-free phone support now available. Sometimes it's easier to speak directly to a person when you need support. Now you can reach a trained Yahoo! Store representative by phone toll free -- during our newly expanded support hours. Simply call 1-866-800-8092. Then, from the main menu, select option 2, followed by option 2.
These are just two more steps in the ongoing improvement program we announced last May. We look forward to bringing you even more support options later this year.

Of course, you can still reach our customer support team via email and our online form. Also, system status reports are available on our System Status page, which is updated around the clock. Feel free to check this page at any time to learn more about issues our team is currently addressing.

Site Update
Yahoo! Store to Get a Face-Lift

Keep your eyes peeled for a fresh new look for Yahoo! Store, coming in September. Just as we enhanced the Yahoo! Store site last fall, we've been working behind the scenes on improvements to our site design.

Please note: Our latest design enhancements won't alter your storefront or the tools you use to build it. You'll continue to enjoy the same functionality in the Store Manager and throughout the Yahoo! Store site.

We'll send another announcement when we debut these changes, so you can sign in and see the new look as soon as it's ready! Stay tuned.

Feature Update
New Advanced Site-Building Tips and Resources

If you've ever found yourself wishing for more in-depth information about using RTML (the programming language used to build Yahoo! Store Editor pages) to build out your Store or wanted to know more about our Advanced Store Editor features, you're in luck. Now you can tackle complex storefront designs and functionality with the help of articles, books, seminars, and other supporting materials that have been created by members of our Designer Network.

Our Designer Network is made up of professional third-party web developers who design Yahoo! Stores for merchants. Over the years, these experts have mastered our Store Editor tools and RTML and put them to new and innovative uses. Now you can leverage their expertise in your do-it-yourself projects. Visit our new Yahoo! Store Training and Tools page today.
