Parazyne provide the herb Artemisia Annua, which has traditionally been used to support the body against unwanted parasites.

The main active principle of Artemisia annua is Artemisinin, a peroxide-containing sesquiterpene lactone. Artemisinin reacts with the iron-based compound Hemin, found in abundance in parasite cells. The reaction releases peroxide, which binds to parasite proteins and destroys the organisms.

Whole leaf preparations are more potent than purified artemisinin, due to the presence of the synergistic flavonoids Casticin and Artemetin. Parazyne^TM contains whole leaf extract to ensure maximum benefit.

The herb also demonstrates normalizing effects on immune function.
