Click to enlargepadIf you're interested in submitting artwork for the annual Hampton Classic art poster, here is how it works: Artists submit photos (prints or digital files) of their work (not slides, not original art) anytime prior to mid-April. 2008 Deadline is April 15. The committee makes its selection in late April or early May and we ask the artist to complete the poster painting by early to mid-June. The work is then scanned and poster printing is done in July.

The artist retains the original and gives Hampton Classic a one-time right of reproduction that includes our poster run (2000) and reproduction of the image or portion on selected souvenir items. The artist is not paid, but gets significant publicity including a special page in our program. The artist agrees to sign 100 of the posters which we sell at a higher price (usually $30 unsigned, $100 signed). The artist gets a selection of poster-image souvenir items and 200 posters for their own use.
