Used extensively in food preparation for it light taste and wonderful yellow colour.
This herb is high in beta carotene and vitamin A, which gives it such a brilliant orange colour.
We use it to make our soaps a lovely shade of yellow or orange depending on the quantity used.
We use 1 tsp of finely ground seed or 2 tablespoons of infusion one kilo (2.2lbs) soap.
To make an infusion use 2 tablespoons of finely ground seed and add to 1/4 cup of oil (Canola or Sunflower works fine) Heat oil slightly and allow to set for a few days, stirring occasionally. Strain and use liquid as an oil infusion for colour.
For Bath Bubblers we use 1/2 tsp per 2 3/4 batch
For Bath salts we use 1/2 tsp per 2 cups
