Spotlight: Paymentech lowers prices for Yahoo! Store merchant accounts.
We're happy to announce a great new deal for credit
card processing from Paymentech, the second largest
credit card processor in the U.S. and a leader in
online transaction processing. We've negotiated
special pricing for Yahoo! Store merchant accounts.
From now on, set-up is free create a paperless
merchant account quickly and easily. Monthly fees
have been reduced to only $22.95 per month, with an
additional $0.20 transaction fee (and a $15 per month
minimum transaction fee for each merchant account).
Paymentech offers free web site statement reviews and
24/7 customer support. Current Paymentech customers
are also eligible for these new, lower rates.
Here's what you need to know:
If you now have a Paymentech merchant account for your
Yahoo! Store and you'd like to take advantage of this
great deal, please send email to ecommerce@paymentech.com.
Be sure to include your name, the name of your store, and
a contact telephone number.
If Paymentech is not your current transaction service
provider and you'd like convert your Yahoo! Store merchant
account to take advantage of Paymentech's offer, simply go
to your Store Manager, select "pay methods," and then
complete Paymentech's online application. It usually takes
1-3 business days to approve and set up your account. If you
have questions or need assistance, call Paymentech directly
at 1-888-698-2262 a representative will be glad to walk you
through the sign-up process.

New Feature: Yahoo! Address Book integration makes online shopping easier.
We've put Yahoo! Address Book to work within Yahoo! Store,
to make it quicker and more convenient for your customers
to place orders. Yahoo! Address Book is an online contact
manager that works seamlessly with Yahoo! Mail. Now, it also
works with Yahoo! Store shipping information and order
confirmation pages. Customers simply select a recipient's
address from their Yahoo! Address Book and insert it into
the store shipping form with a couple of clicks. No typing,
no cutting, no pasting required.
Or, if your customer enters new information on the shipping
page that isn't already listed in their Yahoo! Address Book,
they can save it with one easy click. No need to type it twice.
Then, the next time they place an order, the address is available
at the click of a mouse.

Survey Update: Preliminary statistics from the
Yahoo! commerce customer survey.
Last month we told you about a telephone survey being
to help Yahoo! understand the needs and concerns of
customers like you, who use commerce services such as
Yahoo! Store and Yahoo! Auctions. We thought you’d be
interested in a preliminary look at the survey data:
--89 respondents classified themselves as business users,
12 considered themselves hobbyists.
--77% of respondents described their Yahoo! Store as a
full-time business.
--17% selected the "flowers, gifts, and occasions" category
to describe their online merchandise.
--30% of the Yahoo! Store merchants indicated that they
also use the Yahoo! Auctions platform.
This is a very quick snapshot of the 101 Yahoo! Store
merchants respondents. Thanks again to everyone who
participated. We plan to use your input to build better
products and services for doing business online.
