PureSource2 WF2CB / FC100 / NGFC 2000 Frigidaire Refrigerator Ice/Water Filter

The Frigidaire PureSource2 Ice/Water Filter WF2CB / FC100 / NGFC 2000 fits refrigerators with a slide-out filter cartridge located in the front of the refrigerator compartment.

The PureSource II Filter WF2CB / FC100 / NGFC 2000 removes the following impurities from your drinking water:

• 99.30% of Lead
• 91.00% of Mercury
• 99.99% of Cysts
• 98.00% of Alachlor
• 98.00% of Atrazine
• 92.00% of Lindane
• 87.50% of Toxaphene
• 96.00% of 2,4-D
• 98.50% of Chlorine
• 99.70% of Turbidity
• 98.60% of Particulates (Class III)

As with all built-in refrigerator water filters, the WF2CB does not remove Fluoride

The WF2CB cartridge is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42 & 53

The PureSource2 Water Filter WF2CB should be replaced every 6 months or when the "change filter" light comes on - whichever comes first.

Installing your new water filter:

1. Press the button to the right of the filter to release it
2. Pull the old filter straight out and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
3. Push the new filter straight in until it "clicks" into place
4. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one)

Resetting your "change filter" light:

• Press and hold the reset button on the dispenser until the green light flashes (up to 15 seconds).

There's nothing in the Pure Source 2 filter that can go bad, so it has No Expiration Date... It can live on your shelf for years.

"I changed my water filter, but my filter light is still red... what gives?"

On most fridges the water filter light is nothing more than a fancy “egg timer” set to go off after six months. That’s because the water filter is made from activated carbon which only absorbs contaminants for about 6 months - think of it as a charcoal sponge. Once the "sponge" is full, the filter just lets water & contaminants pass right through until it eventually clogs up with tiny particles of sand, sediment, and rust.

Merely inserting your brand-spanking-new water filter will not reset the light on any fridge, so you'll need to manually reset your filter change indicator light. Not sure how to reset the light... here's how - filter light reset instructions.
