Dryer Venting Safety and Maintenance Tips

Here are some great tips to help make sure you get the best performance from your Frigidaire Dryer.

• Tip 1: Shorter distance from the dryer to the exterior vent = better airflow = good clothes dryer performance
• Tip 2: The smoother the inside of the vent pipe = better air flow = good drying performance
• Tip 3: Fewer bends = better air flow = shorter drying times = better drying performance
• Tip 4: Use only UL approved venting products. All Select Parts Brand dryer vents are UL approved!
• Tip 5: Flexible nylon venting is not UL approved for dryer venting. If you are using flexible nylon venting you should replace with flame resistant Select Parts branded aluminum rigid, semi-rigid or flexible venting. If the distance from the exterior vent to the dryer exceeds 8ft, only rigid or semi-rigid pipe should be used.
