Here's
a flower-filled garden designed to give the small, fenced-in backyard
season-long color. The plants have been chosen with an eye toward attracting
hummingbirds - if not to nest, then at least to pay visits over the summer.
The shrubs in the garden all do double duty. They each produce colorful
and fragrant blooms in their seasons and the rest of the time provide
structure for the garden and shelter for birds. Put a birdbath with a
dripper near the patio to attract hummingbirds and other species alike.
