Because our pine furniture is shipped in kit form, it comes unfinished. We suggest, however, that you finish your furniture once you receive it. For interior furniture, we suggest using a good quality polyurethane. Interior table tops and dresser tops should be finished on the top and bottom, with an equal number of coats applied to each side.

For exterior furnishings, we suggest the use of a penetrating, oil-based water repellent that has UV protection and mildicides. It is important to finish your furniture to protect it from the elements and to bring out the beautiful qualities of the wood. Outdoor furniture should be finished periodically to ensure adequate protection.
