Exfoliating-enzyme-cleanser is - A liquid Exfoliating Skin cleanser of papaya and pineapple enzyme complex, papaya extract, aloe vera & honey.

Directions- Apply ½ to 1 teaspoon of Exfoliating-enzyme-cleanser to skin.
- Gently, massage onto entire face, avoiding the eye area.
- Allow to remain for 2-3 minutes, whether using alone or over Enzyme Exfoliating Masque Celazome.
- Rinse with tepid water and terry cloth washcloth, it is the terry cloth loops that provide extra help dislodging dead cells.
- Pat dry with a clean towel.
- Apply prescription medication or normal skin care requiem.
- Booster Tip (not for acne skin): use a mild granular scrub Guinot-exfoliating-cream or men skin care-guinot-scrub while massaging cleanser into skin.
Early in 1995, another emerging star shared the limelight: Enzymes. Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA's) and enzymes perform different functions to achieve exfoliation. Their main purpose is the same: to remove dead cells on the skin's outer layer. AHA's loosen the top layer of dead cells, primarily composed of keratin (a protein), while proteolytic enzymes dissolve this keratinized layer.
Proteolytic Plant Enzymes-
Papaya and pineapple are the main source of proteolytic (protein dissolving) plant enzymes.
- Papain is a highly potent plant enzyme isolated from papaya when the fruit is unripe & green.
- Bromelain is the other proteolytic enzyme obtained from the pineapple plant.
- With increasing scientific studies on enzymes, usage broadens, including in the area of skin care products used as facial masks and cleansers.
Papain is most potent when the papaya is still unripe and green. It remains at its peak enzymatic activity for 4 to 6 months, and then rapidly diminishes. Preparation of this remarkably sophisticated formula does not lend itself to mass-production.
