STEVE SAYS: If you have big running dogs that can out run most conventional beeper collars, then the Lovett's 4 mode Double Speaker Horn Beeper collar is the one for you. I have been using this beeper for several years and it can be heard from longer distances in heavier cover than any beeper on the market.

To turn the unit on: Press the on button (the green one closest to the battery compartment) and hold until a series of chirps are heard, then release it. There is a one-second delay on the action of both switches to prevent inadvertent operation while in use. The number of chirps heard indicates the operating mode. The collar is now on and will begin operation after five seconds.
Operating Modes:
Mode 1 Normal, Point-Only -- Beeps each second after 8 sec. Motionless.
Mode 2 Normal, Point & Run -- As above when pointing, double-beep every 8 sec. when running
Mode 3 Grouse, Point-Only -- Beeps each second after 4 sec. Motionless.
Mode 4 Grouse, Point & Run -- As above when pointing, double-beep every 4 sec. when running
To change modes: Press the on button again within five seconds of turning the unit on (or just continue to hold it down) to advance to the next operating mode. Each time the mode changes, the corresponding number of chirps will be heard. The unit will loop back to mode one after mode four.
To turn the unit off: Press the off button (the red one closest to the speaker) and hold until a click is heard, continue holding. The unit will begin cycling through the various speaker tones. Release the off button when you hear the desired tone. The choices are low speaker only, high speaker only, high and low speaker together, and alternating high and low speaker.
Placing unit on dog: Put the collar around dog's neck just as if it were an ordinary collar. The molded battery/electronics unit should be snug beneath dog's neck and should not swing or move when dog is stationary. The speaker should be on top, between the dog's ears. Both the speaker and electronics unit are movable on the collar. Place beeper collar in front of an ordinary collar. Do not attach a leash to the beeper collar.
Changing Battery: Unit uses standard 9V alkaline battery. Use a coin to unscrew the battery compartment plug. After changing battery, tighten plug securely into battery compartment until it is flush. You will have to reset the operating mode and speaker tone after changing battery.
The unit is manufactured in the USA and carries a one-year warranty from date of purchase.
