In this realistic production, the lives of ordinary people during the period are well depicted. Hur Jun was an illegitimate child of the governor of Pyong Ahn Do (a region in Northern Korea), who seemed to be getting into troubles all the time. To start a new life, Hur Jun and his mother embarked on a long journey to Kyungsang Do (a region in Southern Korea.) This is where he met the reputable Dr. Yoo and started his medical training. Soon his life started to get complicated.
