1. THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR
A newly born caterpillar discovers just how hungry he is! On successive days of the week he eats his way through increasing quantities of food (one apple, two pears, three plums, etc...). By the end of the week the inevitable happens and he is ill. The next day he returns to a more sensible diet and feels much better. Then something magical happens...
2. PAPA, PLEASE GET THE MOON FOR ME
Woken by the moon shining on her bed, Monica asks her father if she can hold it.
Unperturbed, the father attempts to reach the moon for Monica. When he does, he soon discovers it is too heavy. But as the moon wanes and becomes smaller, the father is able to carry it down to his daughter. Monica dances in delight. But the moon continues to get smaller...
3. THE VERY QUIET CRICKET
A cricket is born and greets the world. But unlike a succession of his insect friends, all of which greet him cheerfully, he is unable to make any sound. But then he meets another cricket. She is unable to make any sound but the little cricket discovers his voice.
4. THE MIXED UP CHAMELEON
The routine and not very exciting life of the chameleon leads him to explore a zoo. He wishes he could be like each of the animals present, but soon finds that a mixed-up chameleon has a very difficult life and that life is much better when he is restored to his natural shape.
5. I SEE A SONG
Picture a song without words. A violinist, all in black, starts playing and as the magic of the notes float into the air, pictures are formed and move in time to the tune. By the end of the song, the violinist-and the world-are full of colors.
