In 1999, Fritz completed a four-painting commission for Harley-Davidson Motor Company, depicting their colorful history. The finished works were published in the 1998 Annual Report and were later reproduced as a highly successful limited-edition series of prints. Tom's Southern California childhood sets the backdrop for the images he portrays in his paintings today. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, his childhood memories of the motorcycles and automobiles during the 60's and 70's are a part of the inspiration and energy that shaped the artist he would become. His renderings are a celebration of those recollections. The rich colors and impressionistic feel in his paintings reveal his fascination of the early days of American motorsports. Tom's images offer a unique rendition of the relationship between man and machine. Tom has joined forces with motorcycle art icon The HD@rt Gallery, the first motorcycle only gallery to offer officially licensed Harley-Davidson art. Tom Fritz and The HD@rt Gallery will work closely together to produce images that impress today's collector and capture the attention of generations to come.
