Bill (Gunz) Gunzelman

Bill Gunzelman, aka "GUNZ" has been traveling with Harley-Davidson since 1996. Every summer he travels with the Harley Owners Group(HOG)as a National vendor for a ten week period to all the major Harley events from Sturgis, S.D. to York, PA. Over the years his military and police prints and pins have sold by the tens of thousands. His works have been collected by the likes of U.S. Presidents, Willie G. Davidson and just about every memeber and rank of our Armed Forces. From his first print "A VETERANS VISON" to his latest "RIDERS ON THE STORM" along with his new line of art pins, his work will touch you, his work is from the heart.

During the spring of 1996, Bill was at Camp Pendleton, CA. to photograph the Colors of the 1st Marine Division to use in his second print "Legacy".

One of the many people he met was a woman Marine who was a Native American. She told Bill that she had brothers who had served in Vietnam and that she had gone to Washington DC for the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. She said that on that first visit she had cried for a long time, but during her visit a couple of years ago she had cried hardly at all.

She explained that when they had built the wall, it was filled with the souls of soldiers trying to find their way home. During her second visit 12 years later, there was no reason to cry because with each rubbing of a name, a soul had gone home. Her American Indian perspective is one to which I had never been exposed, yet in my heart I know she is right.

A portion of Veteran print sales is donated to "The Center for Homeless Veterans".
