Jonathan Lampert, President & Co-Owner
jlampert@ivybrooks.com
Jon has owned and operated Ivy Brooks since June 1993. Originally from Massachusetts, Jon graduated from Georgetown University in
1986. Following his graduation, Jon joined the Management Training Program
at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York where he worked an Assistant Manager,
Department Manager, and Assistant Buyer. Jon left Saks Fifth Avenue to
pursue his MBA at George Washington University, which he received in 1991.
Upon receiving his MBA, Jon worked as an accountant at Price Waterhouse in Washington, DC. However, Jon and his
wife Alison soon decided to look for something "different" than life in
suburban Washington, DC. Jon had spent many years vacationing with his
family in Vermont; so, on basically no more than a whim, they picked Vermont.
The purchase of Ivy Brooks fulfilled Jon's desire to operate his own firm
as well as to return to the retail business. Jon and Alison originally
worked together in the stores, but Alison left the business in 1995 to
become a full-time mother.
Jon is active in the local business community and currently serves on the Board of the Burlington Business Association (he was Chair during 2000-2001). He is also a member of the Burlington Rotary. Jon and Alison live in Shelburne, VT with their two children, Sarah and William.

Peter Morris, Vice President and Co-owner
pmorris@ivybrooks.com
Pete has been with Ivy Brooks since 1994. Originally from Springville,
NY (outside of Buffalo), Pete graduated from Champlain College in 1997.
Pete joined Ivy Brooks in 1994 as a part-time Sales Associate to earn
some extra money while in college. He soon became an indispensable jack-of-all-trades.
While still in school, Pete helped to set up and manage our original
Ivy Brooks Down Under store (our store that specialized in boxers and
loungewear). He was also instrumental in planning and executing our expansion into our University Mall location.
Upon graduation from college, Pete served as Assistant Manager, which was followed by a promotion to Store Manager in 1998 and a promotion to Vice President and Co-owner in 2001. In addition to day-to-day store operations, Pete is primarily responsible for buying and merchandising the store. In this capacity, he travels to most of the men's clothing shows. Pete lives in Burlington.

Karen Lawrence, Manager
Klawrence@ivybrooks.com
Karen grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Skidmore College. She worked her way through college as a waitress at a Saratoga restaurant and as a "hot walker" at the Saratoga Race Track. Following graduation, Karen spent several years in Colorado working in sales for a dining club.
Karen is an 18 year resident of Burlington. She lives in the New North End of Burlington with her husband, John (a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch) and two teenagers, Colby (age 16) and Katie (age 14). She also has three step-children and four step-grandchildren.
Karen previously worked in sales and customer service for the Burlington Free Press and several local advertising firms. Her position at Ivy Brooks marks her "return to society" after 16 years of full-time motherhood and volunteer work. Karen claims to now have no free time, but is enjoying being with grown-ups (she obviously doesn't know us that well) who refuse to refer to her as "Mom".

Julie Graeter, Office Manager
jgraeter@ivybrooks.com
Julie is Ivy Brooks' Office Manager. She handles all of our bookkeeping
and office functions as well as working with us on budgeting and business
analysis. Julie has grown up in the Champlain Valley on both sides of
Lake Champlain. After receiving her B.S. Degree in Accounting from SUNY-Plattsburgh,
she moved from Plattsburgh to Burlington, a city to which she had visited
many times and loved.
Julie has been working in accounting for over ten years in many different
industries - from fast food to feed mills to hospitality. Julie's husband,
Chris, is a Corrections Officer for the State of Vermont. Julie and Chris
have two young boys, Alec and Nick and an infant daughter, Elizabeth who (needless to say) keep her running
when she's not working at Ivy Brooks.

Eric Handwerger
Eric is originally from Providence,
RI, where he lived until moving to
Stowe, VT with his family in 1991. After
finishing high school, Eric attended
Drew University for one year. He then
returned to Vermont to attend the
University of Vermont.
Joining Ivy Brooks in Fall, 1999,
Eric came to us with no retail
experience, but he learned very quickly.
From October, 1999 – May, 2000, Eric
worked part-time while he maintained a
full class schedule at UVM.
Eric decided to take the Fall, 2000
semester off from school and to work
full-time at Ivy Brooks. Eric feels that
he has gained a great deal of work
experience during his time at Ivy
Brooks, while Ivy Brooks has benefited
from Eric's desire to learn, great sense
of humor and extraordinary work ethic.
Eric lives in Burlington with his
girlfriend Laura. He will be returning
to UVM to study environmental law in
Spring, 2001 while continuing to work
part-time at Ivy Brooks.
