The ginkgo family is one of the earth’s two oldest trees, dating back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Its many medicinal qualities have caused it to become symbolic of longevity, and recent claims of memory enhancement have made ginkgo a household word. But none can deny its natural beauty as a motif in Japanese art.
Through a special process, impressions are made from, an actual ginkgo leaf, capturing every natural detail of the original. The pin is then cast in bronze and hand-patinaed. 2-1/2"W x 2"H
