Indigenous women in that region suffer less gender discrimination than indigenous Indian women in other areas of the country, but they find the distinctive participatory leadership methodology of Leading to Choices beneficial in envisioning and developing collective solutions for local problems relating to trade and educational institutions, for example, as well as in approaching larger issues such as conflict resolution.
