Pure Maple Syrup

There's nothing quite so good as sweet, dark amber, Vermont pure maple syrup.

As the largest packer of Pure Maple Syrup in the country, we go out of our way to provide you with the finest maple syrup possible. That's why our Grade A Dark Amber Pure Maple Syrup is renowned for its wonderful all natural flavor, color, consistency and thickness.

To our valued on-line customers:

As you know, pure maple syrup is a product of nature, produced annually in the spring.  Due to the smallest maple crop in over 20 years, the demand for maple syrup exceeds its’ supply.

Maple Grove has to make some very difficult decisions on how to best serve our customers.  We have decided that it is necessary to temporarily suspend on-line pure maple syrup sales.  We will continue to sell all other products including our gift packs and candy.

We sincerely hope you understand and we are looking forward to a better season in 2009.

Although most people use maple syrup in just one way -- over pancakes or waffles, there are many, many ways to use maple syrup - as a sauce over ice cream or puddings, a natural glaze poured over ham, baked in the hollow of a winter squash, in many other dishes, and even in many elaborate "gourmet" recipes. What is the difference in "Grades"?

Vermont Grade A light, medium and dark amber are considered table grades. Vermont Grade B is a dark, strong flavored maple syrup. Often used in cooking, though some prefer it for table use as well. All are the same density. Lighter maple syrup has a more delicate flavor; darker maple syrup has a more pronounced maple flavor. Medium and dark amber are most widely available. Light amber, used for maple candy and maple cream, is made early in the season; Grade B is made late. Fancy Grade is also made early in the season. It has a light, delicate maple taste which is terrific on ice cream or pancakes.
