Customer Care Ramp-up to Begin in June
As we explained in our 2003 Store Feature Preview, we've been listening to your requests for expanded customer care options.
Starting next month, we are opening a new call center and expanding our telephone support capacity by 50%. Our goal is to make it easier for you to get timely and accurate advice on running your successful Yahoo! Store. Our new customer care team is in training right now, learning the ins and outs of our system so they can provide you with the information you need, when you need it.
The growth of our phone support team is just the first phase of an ongoing program to improve your customer care options. Later this year we'll debut additional customer care enhancements.

Spring Clean Your File Directories Now
To improve your store performance, it's a good practice to purge your store directory folders on a regular basis, to remove old images and pages that are no longer in use.
There's never been a better time to get rid of old, unused files that are cluttering your Yahoo! Store file directories, thanks to the recently released Store Editor upgrade. In the new Editor's Advanced view, you'll see an improved "Lib Files" interface that makes it a breeze to view and manage all your uploaded files.
After upgrading your Editor, follow these steps to see the new interface and clear your old files:
- Sign in to your Yahoo! Store and enter your Store Manager.
- Click on the Files button in the Advanced Editor toolbar. This is the place to upload and organize the image files you use in the design of your store pages -- from item photos to logos to icons.
- If you see ancient test images gathering dust or pictures associated with products you no longer sell, this is a great time to get rid of them.
- Simply click the checkbox next to the files you're ready to delete. Don't worry, we'll ask you to confirm your "deletes" before we remove the files permanently.
When you clear out old files, you'll free up room for more up-to-date product images -- and you'll also reduce the overall load on your store's servers, improving your page load times and performance. If you've had a store for a year or more, we bet you'll be surprised at how many old files have accumulated over time.

Target Ready-to-Buy Customers with Yahoo! Yellow Pages
Whether or not you have a brick-and-mortar outlet to go with your Yahoo! Store, you can attract qualified leads with a sponsored business listing in Yahoo! Yellow Pages, the #1, most-trafficked yellow pages on the Web*.
Yahoo! Yellow Pages allows you to advertise to ready-to-buy customers who are searching for businesses in a particular category and metropolitan area. These potential customers already know what they're looking for and may be closer to a purchase than other web surfers.
Here are three great reasons why a sponsored listing could be a cost-effective way to increase your store's visibility and increase potential sales:
- Millions of online visitors search Yahoo! Yellow Pages daily, using the site to locate local businesses, as an alternative to printed yellow pages directories.
- Sixty-two percent of Yahoo! Yellow Pages users have contacted a business as a result of using Yahoo! Yellow Pages.* This suggests that Yahoo! users are more likely to take action when they find listings related to their searches.
- Yahoo! Yellow Pages listings are now integrated into Yahoo! Search results, as of April of this year. That means an even broader audience may view your listing.
If your store business is already listed in Yahoo! Yellow Pages, consider enhancing your listing through the Featured Business program. For as little as $25/month, you gain premium placement in the Featured Businesses section of the page for your store's listing. As a Featured Business you can display your logo and a more detailed description of your services. Also, you can add important details to your listing page, such as hours of operation, accepted payment methods, your Yahoo! Store web address, and more.
To see if your business is already listed, go to Yahoo! Yellow Pages, enter the zip code for your location, and then the name of your business.
