It then shows how to use the OVRDBF command to override the file processing options in effect for a program. You will next see how programs running in the same job can share an open data path (ODP) to a DB2 UDB file. This discussion includes descriptions of the OPNDBF and CLOF commands. The course ends by showing how to use the OPNQRYF command to create an alternative view of the data in a DB2 UDB database.
After completing this course, you should be able to: Identify and describe the basic file operations supported by DB2 UDB Identify what operations set and change file position Describe how DB2 UDB indicates that an exception or error condition exists Use the OVRDBF command to override a database file's attributes s List the benefits provided by a shared open data path Use the OPNDBF command to open a shared database file Use the CLOF command to close a shared database file Use the OPNQRYF command to define an alternative view of the data in a database
