This book examines the non-mechanical aspects of the standard production versions of the Chevrolet Corvair passenger car. The purpose of the text is to aid those enthusiasts who have taken the restoration challenge as well as to entertain the Corvair trivia buff.

Every effort was made by authors Wayne Machan and Bill Bruggen to put together a complete and accurate description of the various models of the Corvair automobile (truck models are not covered in this book).

The lasting quality of the Corvair attests to its greatness. As late as 1985 there were still about 18% of all Corvairs ever built still registered. This totals about 300,000 units still operating, and is an unbelievable number still on the road after the last car rolled off the assembly line.
