The redesigned Checkout page is now available. Engineered to provide a friendly, easy-to-use checkout experience, we believe this bright, new interface will encourage shoppers to complete more purchases.

Highlights of the new process include:

  • Single "Checkout" button on the shopping cart page
  • Progress bar displayed throughout the checkout process
  • Order Review page for final purchase confirmation and printout
  • Improved Security Key process

Because the holidays are the most important time of year for your business, we're letting you decide when to implement the updated Checkout in your store. We encourage you to test the new flow and turn it on soon -- we think you'll be pleased with the changes.

System Status Page Keeps You in the Know

We've added a System Status link in the "Go" column of the Yahoo! Store Manager. The System Status page will notify you of routine maintenance downtime and alert you to other issues that could affect your store.

Our goal is to maintain the most reliable e-commerce hosting platform on the Web, however, it's a fact of life that occasionally "business as usual" is interrupted. EarthWeb: Study: Consumer Confidence in Internet Grows

While consumer confidence in the economy has been slipping, metrics from ACNielsen and Yahoo! suggest that consumer confidence in the Internet is growing. The two firms use quarterly surveys to research changing consumer attitudes toward online shopping. The Yahoo! Consumer Confidence Index, created in mid-2001, reports an eight-fold increase in confidence since last year's holiday season. A growing number of broadband users ("the most-confident consumers, and the highest-spending") are comfortable shopping on the Net.
