The Arabic influence, its architectural and artistic heritage, beautiful natural parks and friendly people who know how to make the area unbeatable. Its gastronomy, different and delicious from seafood and variety of fish to the typical products inland: Jabugo ham, wines and strawberries. Real culinary delights. It offers the highest standards of leisure and tourism. A unique, different project where you can play golf at 20° in January, choose between water, beach and track sports and Islantilla's high quality apartments and residential complexes.

Golf, tennis, paddle tennis, bowling, athletics track, football, aquatic sports, swimming area, health centre, religious services, educational, two shopping centres, recreational-shopping Park... It is not surprising, despite the fact that it was opened only recently, that Islantilla Golf Course has hosted top international tournaments (APG, PGA, Spanish Tour Andalusia Open...) Its superb design, beautiful views, tree-lined fairways trees and attractive houses put Islantilla among the elite European courses. One of the main attractions of Islantilla is the 12-kilometre-long beach, bathed by the clear waters of the Atlantic. An ideal place for water sports, long walks or just relaxing.

Cadiz

El Puerto de Santa Maria
Location:El Puerto is located northeast of the Cadiz province, on the Guadalete River outlet, right on the Cadiz Bay. It extends for 156.41 km2 and within its limits there are two well differentiated areas. One flat, where the Guadalete river runs and the other area is formed by hills 40 meters high, on the average, among which the Sierra de San Cristobal stands out. Its privileged location is a magnificent communications network linking the City to all of the villages in the area, making El Puerto the focal point of the Bay's arch.
Climate: El Puerto, with an average of 3,100 sunny hours per year, its lukewarm fall season, its soft springtime, its warm but not hot summers, with an average temperature of 25 degrees C, and its moderately cold winter, makes it a tempting city at any time of year.
Beaches:With 22 kilometers of shores, our city offers a rich variety of low and sandy beaches.
Flamenco:El Puerto is one of the most important Flamenco cradles. Historians coincide in that it is in Cadiz and El Puerto where this cultural phenomenon was born, later on expanding to Seville and Jerez. Member of the Flamenco Circle and the Flamenco Group meet at their premises, old cellars dating back from the Eighteen Century, splendidly decorated, where, from time to time, songs and dance performances may be held and watched: Truly Flamenco (Tomas EL Nitric) and Pena Flamenca (El Chumi).
Wining and dining:In El Puerto, wine is matured by the traditional solera method, ranging from the pale and dry fino, to the sweet Pedro Ximenez and Moscatel, through the tangy and exquisite Amontillados to the flavourful and mature Olorosos. The traditional cuisine, lovingly tended to the homes and in some classic restaurants goes hand in hand with an international and even exotic dining offer, which the visitor may find in every corner in our city. Some of the most known dishes are: snails, wheat asparagus, tocino del cielo and a wide variety of shellfish to suit all tastes: shrimp, prawns, crabs, winkles…
The Festivities:The overwhelming gaiety and deep feelings which characterize the Andalusia people, find their highest demonstration when celebrating the festivities held at El Puerto throughout the year. Carnival: The Carnival festivities, Holy Week, Spring Fair, Corpus Christi, Fishermen Festivity, International Nautical Week, Festivity of the Patron Saint Virgen de los Milagros...
Bullfighting: The bullring has recently celebrated its first one hundred years anniversary. To this date, our bullring has cemented its richly deserved reputation through a number of events. Today their bullring is rated third in Spain after Madrid and Valencia and it is one of the best lit ones. There are four taurine groups in the City as well as an interesting Taurine Club, which is a real museum of bullfighting memorabilia and is visited by a great number of people.

Costa Ballena
Costa Ballena is a strip of land four kilometers long by one kilometer wide, with almost four kilometers of beaches bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, warm and noble at these latitudes. This land is the cradle of the purest and richest Mediterranean folklore, flamenco... And the diversity of the surrounding area does not end here: there is world-famous architecture such as Seville's Giralda tower, the mosque at Cordova and Granada's Alhambra; lands where fighting bulls are bred; the enchanting hospitality of Andalusian people; unspoiled beaches; amazingly colourful sunsets, and an unequalled variety of popular Andalusian festivities in nearby villages, notably the Cadiz Carnival, the Jerez horse Fair the April Fair in Seville.

For centuries the brilliant sun of the Atlantic coast of Cadiz has captivated visitors, turning them into lovers of this land, its sea and beaches. The mean annual temperature is 18 degrees centigrade and annual rainfall between 600 and 650 millimeters. A pleasant spring precedes a brilliant summer and an exceptional autumn. The luminosity is such that one is lost for words to describe it and the transparency of the atmosphere enables places tens of kilometers away to be send on clear days.

The fact that public funds have been assigned to Costa Ballena represents a guarantee and clear commitment to the highest quality. The investment of thousands of millions of pesetas in Costa Ballena by the Andalusian regional government only makes sense if the area is to become one of the most attractive and advanced tourist destinations in the world

Costa Ballena is located in the Cadiz area.
