The Edge 3K Cross Cut X (CCX) 6 inch
Pads are available in the same varieties as standard Edge 2000 pads. The
difference is the cross cut design that improves the pads’ performance and
results.
On a rotary polisher, reducing heat
buildup is important to eliminate the risk of burning the paint. The
manufacturers of the Edge pads have made heat reduction a priority with this
cross cut design. The grooves allow heat to escape so there’s less heat
trapped between the pad and the paint. Remove swirls and imperfections
without burning the paint!

Pads are also easier to operate. The cross cut design breaks the
surface tension between the pad and the vehicle. The pad glides
freely over the paint, which gives you, the operator, more control and
better success.
The cross cut channels are narrow and wide-set in
order to give you the benefits of reduced heat and tension with only a
minimal decrease in the amount of surface contact. Edge 3K CCX Pads
keep 80% of the foam in contact with the paint. You’re gaining
easier operation and performance while still working efficiently. |

inch Pads have all the benefits of The Edge System. Each pad attaches to
the polisher using a Quick Change Adapter. The adapter pops into a plastic
plate in the center of the pad. This connection system ensures that the pad
is always balanced and centered, automatically. And, because there’s no
backing plate, there’s no risk of striking the paint if you tilt the pad. A
quick release button allows you to change pads in seconds.
All Edge 3K pads are
double-sided, which makes them a great value! A single pad gives you
double the uses of a conventional single-sided buffing pad. Use an Edge pad
twice as many times before replacing it.
Two sides of foam save you time
during the detailing process. Instead of switching to a totally new pad when
one becomes soiled, you can simply reverse the pad you’re using. For mobile
detailers, this means fewer pads to lug around and time saved. For the
do-it-yourselfer, the Edge system offers a complete paint care arsenal in
fewer pads.

Pads have the same beveled edge as Edge 2000 pads. This beveled edge enables
you to tilt the pad to polish underneath mirrors, door handles, and
spoilers. The inner plastic plate is recessed away from the edge of the foam
to prevent contact with the paint.

inch Pads can be used on dual action or rotary polishers.
Rotary Adapters:
Use the Edge 2K Drive Adapter 5/8" Thread. For heavy duty jobs, use the The
Edge 3000
Industrial Adapter with 5/8" thread. Both adapters work with 6 inch and 8
inch Edge pads.
Dual Action Adapter: Use the
Edge 2K Drive DA Adapter to attach 6 inch pads to your dual action
polisher.
