The L3 is manually leveled in horizontal mode and manually plumbed and aligned in vertical mode. In its horizontal mode, the visible rotating beam provides a planar reference allowing one person to check grade, level drop ceilings, or align fixtures. The L3 is aimed at the professional homebuilder or remodeling contractor who needs a multipurpose laser. A fixed plumb beam emitted from the top of the unit is useful for transferring points from floor to ceiling, or for turning right angles when the laser is in its vertical mode. For outdoor work, use the optional R5e receiver. On interior applications, the laser beam can be set to rotate from 0-450 rpm, or can be set to scan in an arc of 15-90 degrees for increased working distance. In outdoor work settings, the L3 should be paired with the optional R5e electronic laser receiver to provide a working radius of up to 500 feet (1000' diameter). The accuracy of the L3 is ±1/8” @ 50’. A slope vial has markings that allow the user to choose settings of 1, 2, 3, or 4%. The unit is water and dust resistant, and runs for 60 hours on 2 D alkaline batteries. A built in charging jack allows the use of optional rechargeable nicad batteries. The L3 can be used with the optional VM2 mount for vertical setups, or the W1 mount for drop ceiling setups. The L3 carries a 1 year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. |
