• Although sexless and forbidden to marry, the Sons of God (fallen angels) overtook men's souls and married women, thus infecting the population with evil.

• Striving for fame and fertility, the fallen angels attempted to grasp divinity and immortality though these marriages.

• Since man sought immortality through these means, God reduced his lifespan from 900 years to 120 years maximum.

• Through violence, the Nephilim (offspring of these demonized marriages) created a demonized civilization that has recurred throughout history.
• "The Lord saw how great man's wickedness. . .had become and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time."
