As of November 2005 the steam solution spray hoses offered on this page are the only steam solution spray hoses available for the Thermax Vacuum. The old steam solution spray hoses for the brown vacuum and the green hose were replaced with these hoses. All the Thermax AF1 vacuums will use these hoses now.

The hoses on this page will not fit the AF2 machine which is a much smaller machine.

The steam hose will not work if you have a plastic fitting on the front of your machine.

Years ago when I was doing Rainbow and Thermax vacuum cleaner demonstrations I never ceased being amazed at how much dirt and dust I saw in most folks homes. Invariably I was able to turn the water muddy in the 2 quart water basin that the Rainbow uses instead of a bag.

If you were to look at the water after I had vacuumed a rug you would wonder what sewage tank it came from. One of the biggest concerns in America today about home cleaning is how to get rid of dust mites. Folks know about dust mites but they are not completely aware of the ramifications of having them in their home.

One reason dust mites like to live with you in your home is because it is comfortable there and they have plenty to eat. Dust mites like to make sandwiches of human skin... hold the mayo please.

I put on a demo a long time ago in a very nice upper income families home in a nice neighborhood. If you had seen the house, you would have thought that it was squeaky clean from all appearances. However, they did let their two dogs live inside the house.

They were extremely upset after I vacuumed a small area of their carpet and then showed them what was in it. The water had turned muddy as usual but what shocked them the most was the fact that the water also contained a bunch of newly drowned fleas. Needless to say, they bought a unit for their family that night.

Yes, the Rainbow vacuum and the Thermax vacuum does suck up dust mites, fleas, and lots of other nasty things and puts them where they belong... in the water.
