With the new Coleman® Exponent™ Backpacker’s Table and Gear System™ accessory, remote campers can exit the beaten path without giving up the luxury of a well-organized campsite. This new Exponent product is a compact, lightweight solution for keeping backpacks, lanterns, cookware or any personal care items off the ground and protected under the shade of a tree.
Mother Nature lends the tree; Coleman delivers convenience. The system's sturdy nylon strap wraps around virtually any size tree trunk. A small cam buckle secures the strap in place. Four aluminum gear hooks can be positioned to fit between the tree and the strap. The 11- by 15-inch table is suspended from two nylon cords that loop over two of the gear hooks. Use the table to hold a washbowl and shaving mirror or a complete cookware set. Or just settle in to enjoy a meal or a game of cards.
The Lantern Hanger features an aluminum rod that fits into one of the gear hooks, extending away from the tree over the campsite. A fourth hook is available for backpacks or other gear. Each hook can support a hefty 50 pounds. The table supports up to 20 pounds.
Storage is as easy as set up. Simply release the suspension cords, roll the flexible, plastic slatted tabletop into a tube shape and slide it into a nylon stuff sack. Detach the hooks and lantern hanger rod, release the strap and buckle and add them to the pouch as well.
“The Backpacker’s Table and Gear System is ideal for keeping personal items clean and organized. The table and hooks are strong enough to hold the necessary supplies, yet the entire unit weighs just 2 pounds and remains compact enough to fit in any regular size backpack.
