This Katadyn® Guide Pro Microfilter high-output micofilter pumps up to 1.5 quarts (1.5 liters) per minute, making it ideal for group trips in the backcountry. The lightweight, compact design requires no cleaning. Ribbed housing ensures a good grip, and a rubbery base steadies the pump on slippery or uneven surfaces. Three adapters let you attach the end of the output hose or the water filter housing directly to a water bottle or hydration bladder.
The .3-micron anticlog filter cartridge removes bacteria and protozoan cysts (such as giardia and cryptosporidium); its carbon core removes unpleasant tastes and odors. A removable and field-cleanable filter protector screens particles larger than 50 microns to maximize the filter cartridge's capacity – up to 200 gallons (750 liters) – and a 130-micron prefilter on the end of the intake hose screens out the largest particles.
