Managing multiple pages of items

If you have several items and you wish to group them into different pages, you can use the Link feature or HTML. For example, if you are selling 30 baseball cards and want 10 baseball cards on each of the three pages, follow these steps:

Set up the section pages:

1. Log in to your Store Manager.

2. Click the "Store Editor" link.

3. Create a section page named "Baseball Cards," and add the first 10 baseball cards you want to appear on the first page.

Now that we have set up the first page we will need to create the next page. Because we don’t want the next page to be contained within the first we will need to create a "floating" page. A floating page is a page that is not contained within another page, and exists on its own but can be linked to a page.

4. To begin creating a floating page click on the red arrow and then click on "Contents".

5. Click "New" and enter "bbcpage2" into the Id field, leaving the Type field as "item." Click "Create."

Please note that what is entered into the Id field will be used in the URL for that page, for example:

http://store.yahoo.com/"Store Accountname"/bbcpage2.html

6. Repeat steps 3 through 6 to create the final two pages of baseball cards. Name the last page "Page 3 of Baseball Cards" with the ID of "bbcpage3."

Link the section pages:

1. Go to your "Baseball Cards" section page and click the "Link" button from the editor toolbar.

2. Enter "Page 2 of 3" in the Name field and enter the full URL to the "bbcpage2" page in the URL field. Click "Update."

3. At the "Baseball Cards" section page, click the "Link" button again from the editor toolbar, and enter "Page 3 of 3" in the Name field and enter the full URL to the "bbcpage3" page in the URL field. Click "Update."

4. Click the "Contents" button, then scroll down and click the "bccpage2" link.

5. On the "Page 2 of Baseball Cards" page, click the "Link" button from the editor toolbar, and enter "Page 1 of 3" in the Name field and enter the full URL to the "Baseball Cards" page in the URL field. Click "Update."

6. Click the "Link" button from the editor toolbar and enter "Page 3 of 3" in the Name field and enter the full URL to the "bbcpage3" page in the URL field. Click "Update."

7. Click the "Contents" button again, then scroll down and click the "bbcpage3" link.

8. On the "Page 3 of Baseball Cards" page, click the "Link" button from the editor toolbar and enter "Page 1 of 3" in the Name field and enter the full URL to the "Baseball Cards" page in the URL field. Click "Update."

9. Click the "Link" button from the editor toolbar and enter "Page 2 of 3" in the Name field and enter the full URL to the "bbcpage2" page in the URL field. Click "Update."

We have now successfully created a link to every page of your Baseball Cards section, and your customers can easily access each baseball card page.

If you are familiar with HTML, you can also create your section pages and items and then override the "Final-text" or "Head-tags" Variable where you can enter the links to your multiple pages.
