Use the 1-2-3 SWIM Diaper Swim Vest with babies up to nine months of age. A great way for baby to enjoy the bath, spa, and pool. Not reccomended for use in open waters such as lakes, rivers, oceans.

Baby will benefit from the quality time spent with mom or dad in the family tub. From conception to birth, your baby's first environment is "water". Protected by water in the womb, your baby opens his eyes and mouth instinctively. Continue this experience by introducing your baby to the Diaper Swim Vest early. Somewhere between four and six weeks of age is ideal, because the nine months spent floating in the mother's womb is still a vivid and exhilarating memory!

Tips:
  • Open the diaper swim vest and lay it flat on the floor or counter top.
  • Place the baby's head in the groove of the head support, fasten the diaper pant and fasten the vertical suspenders to the head support.
  • The flotation head support is designed to keep the baby's head and all breathing passages above water at all times. Your baby will quickly spit out any water which may splash into his mouth.
  • When initiating your baby outfitted in the diaper swim vest to the bath tub, place the baby's head against your shoulder and run your arms under the baby. Holding the baby's legs at the knee, gently encourage a flutter kick movement.
  • You don't have to teach your baby any movement. Your baby will happily kick his legs and move his arms as he feels his way around the tub. Use the pull handle to gently move your baby around the tub.
  • A five minute swim session is enough exercise for a newborn. Speak softly and hum to your baby. Don't be surprised when your baby falls asleep in his diaper swim vest. Gradually increase the amount of time your baby spends in the water.
1-2-3 SWIM teaching aids are not government approved lifesaving devices and must be used under the supervision of an adult at all times. Risk of drowning.
