Always ElegantBorn in Montreal on August 10, 1902, Norma Shearer began her career when she got turned down by the Ziegfeld Follies in 1920. The turndown led to small movie roles which led to Irving Thalberg's MGM Studios. After signing a 5 year contract Ms. Shearer appeared in many of the studio's prestige projects like THE DIVORCEE (1930), BARRETTS OF WIMPOLE STREET (1934) and ROMEO AND JULIET (1936). There were some who credited her marriage to Irving Thalberg for much of her success but we tend to differ on that count. She had the talent and the looks to earn her a place on Hollywood's leading ladies list. In THE WOMEN (1939) Ms. Shearer not only shined but so did her very noticeable Marquise Diamond ring. Sizes 5-10.
JEWEL: 1 9.95ct. Marquise cut clear cz with 2 tapered baguettes on each side. Set in sterling silver plated with Rhodium.
