The Look Beyond Time Fund is used to pay the expenses of our sweet senior Goldens (age eight and older) and special needs Goldens who require extensive and expensive medical procedures and care. At least 45% of our Rescue Goldens are in these two categories. The Look Beyond Time Fund also supports Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue's C.A.R.E. (Comprehensive Assistance for Rescue Elders) and our Senior to Senior Program. Created to address adopters' concerns about adopting senior Goldens who may have chronic medical conditions or experience unexpected and expensive health issues, YGRR's C.A.R.E. program assists families willing to adopt a Golden age 10 and over. Provided the medical procedure is handled by an approved medical facility, YGRR assumes the financial responsibility for Goldens in this program. YGRR's Senior to Senior Program matches senior citizens and senior Goldens, providing them with the benefits of the C.A.R.E. program as well as assistance in transporting the dog to and from the vet or the groomer. Funding from this endowment has financed extraordinary procedures such as orthopedic surgeries including hip replacements, ophthalmologic examinations and surgeries, as well as special tests and treatments for geriatric Goldens awaiting adoption. Your gift commemorating a special occasion or achievement or honoring the memory of a special relative, friend or pet is a wonderful tribute that will help us provide our services to Rescue Goldens awaiting adoption.
