A perennial favorite of our wine club - this is a delicious example of that "other" Cabernet, which is actually a much older grape variety than Cabernet Sauvignon. Light and aromatic, with oak, herbs, brown sugar, licorice, violets and black tea notes on the nose. Red cherry and blueberry fruit, with a violet pastille note lead to a clean, yet somewhat abrupt finish. Try serving with pork chops, lamb kabobs or sausage with peppers. This wine has three medals including two SILVER medals (Pacific Rim Int’l and San Diego Wine Competition)and as a very pretty wine, it will likely win a number more.
